Nearly a year after its release on PC and PlayStation 5, Black Myth: Wukong is finally coming to Xbox Series X/S on August 20, 2025. Developed by Game Science, Black Myth: Wukong is an action RPG known for its stunning visuals and dynamic combat, and inspired by the classic Chinese novel Journey to the West.
Black Myth: Wukong first came out in August 2024 and quickly became one of the biggest hits of the year. The game sold over 18 million copies within just two weeks and passed 20 million sales in its first month. What’s impressive is that these numbers were reached without the game being available on Xbox, even though Microsoft’s console is a major platform in gaming. Black Myth: Wukong's Xbox release was delayed due to technical problems, with reports saying the game suffered from a memory leak issue that caused frequent crashes.
Black Myth: Wukong offers nearly 100 unique bosses, and these are among the hardest fights players will encounter.
