Arrowhead Game Studios has announced that Helldivers 2 players will be given a new cape at some point in the future as a way of commemorating the community's victory over the Illuminates during the Battle of Super Earth event. Since the release of Helldivers 2 in 2024, the developers have been busy crafting updates that bring fresh content to the cooperative shooter, which has kept a large portion of the community engaged.
Helldivers 2 recently launched its Heart of Democracy update, which saw the Illuminate faction launch a full-scale assault on Super Earth. In addition to the enemies players were familiar with, Arrowhead Game Studios made the Illuminates deadlier than ever by giving them new units. Battles were waged in the Mega Cities of Super Earth, and humanity's president was even killed during the ordeal.
