One of 2020's biggest games was Untitled Goose Game from Australian developer House House. There was a surprising amount of length to be found in a game that involved, well, being a goose and doing goose things.
Since that release, many have been looking forward to House House's follow-up. First revealed in December 2023, Big Walk was described during the Day of the Devs stream as a "brand new experience unlike anything else we've ever played."
"It's a tricky game to describe," House House explains, "but it's mainly about doing two things: talking and walking." It feels like a combination of open world games such as Rust, and others.
House House developed a proximity chat system that mimics the realities of life. You'll sound different if you're next to someone, far away, in a tunnel, or even through soundproof glass.
Spoiler alert: you won't be able to hear them.
"In a situation like this, where you can't hear each other, you'll need to find other ways to communicate," House House explains. As such, they're introducing several additional ways to communicate with each other.
Big Walk's Gameplay Is All About Teamwork and Hanging Out With Friends
