It's been confirmed that the highly-anticipated extraction shooter game ARC Raiders is launching on October 30 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X. The extraction shooter genre was popularized by Escape from Tarkov, with most games in the genre taking cues from that title. Few have managed to leave much of an impression, but ARC Raiders is looking like it could be the one that really breaks the genre into the mainstream in a big way.
ARC Raiders is a sci-fi shooter with PvPvE gameplay set in a post-apocalyptic world where humans have largely been driven underground. Players take on the role of a raider, whose goal is to scavenge for resources on the surface to take back underground. In typical extraction shooter fashion, the stakes are incredibly high in ARC Raiders, which makes it a rewarding and intense experience.
