Capcom has finally revealed the ninth mainline entry in the Resident Evil franchise, Resident Evil Requiem.
The Resident Evil franchise is ready to serve up some horror with Resident Evil Requiem. Revealed at Summer Game Fest 2025, Capcom confirmed that the ninth entry in the survival horror franchise will take players back to Raccoon City, home of the biological disaster and setting of the first three games in the franchise. Thankfully, players won't have to wait too long to get their hands on the game. Resident Evil Requiem launches early 2026 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Back to where it all began...
Resident Evil Requiem follows FBI agent Grace Ashcroft as she's dispatched to investigate the mysterious deaths of several individuals at the same hotel her mother died 8 years prior. The journey will eventually take her to the ruins of Raccoon City, home of the T-virus outbreak. It is unknown if any franchise mainstays like Leon S. Kennedy, Jill Valentine, or Chris Redfield will make an appearance.
