Nearly a year after its release on PlayStation 5 and PC, Black Myth: Wukong is finally confirmed for the Xbox Series X|S. While the game has been surrounded by controversy regarding why it didn’t launch on Xbox alongside the PS5 and PC versions, it’s still good to see the game is finally making its way to the platform. Ironically, the game will be released on August 20, 2025, a year after the game was released for PS5 and PC.
As for why it took so long for the game to land on Xbox Series X|S, this was surrounded in controversy, with everything from exclusivity deals to performance issues. To this, Game Science has officially revealed that the team needed more time to ensure the game ran smoothly on the platform.
Which makes sense since Microsoft enforces a parity clause that requires any game released on Xbox Series X to also run on the Xbox Series S.
