Fans of Bandai Namco's Tales of series of RPGs have something to look forward to, as a new remastered project has been announced. There's no clear indication of which Tales of game will be getting the remastered treatment, but Bandai Namco plans to make that matter much clearer later this summer.
The popular RPG series is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2025. Tales of Phantasia was released in 1995 as a Japanese-only title for the Super Famicom, and it didn't make its way overseas until a Game Boy Advance port arrived in 2006. A total of 28 original games in the Tales of series have been released throughout the years, excluding remastered versions, with 2003's Tales of Symphonia being its most celebrated.
The Tales series has given JRPG fans some truly difficult titles.
Fans have been expecting more remasters in the Tales of series for several months, after series producer Yusuke Tomizawa announced in December 2024 that more games would be getting a revival for the 30th anniversary celebration.
