Round8 surprised Lies of P players a few days ago by shadow dropping the game's first major DLC, Overture, on the same day it was announced at Summer Game Fest.
If you found the DLC enemies a bit too hard, you're not alone. This is something the studio has acknowledged today in a Director's Letter by game director Jiwon Choi.
In the video, Choi acknowledges the feedback they've received from players regarding the game's expansion and outlines some of their plans for it.
Lies of P Overture Getting An Update To Reduce Difficulty And More
Choi thanked the players for their feedback and suggestions since the DLC launched. The developers are reviewing the information and confirm they are looking to implement some of the suggestions from players.
The primary focus they're currently examining is combat experience. Choi mentioned there are identified areas that "did not turn out quite as we intended."
The game director confirmed that they are reviewing various adjustments, including difficulty reduction. Given how combat is the most fundamental experience in the game, Choi mentions that any modifications or changes require thorough testing. As such, they can't confirm a specific schedule for the patch just yet.
