Former PlayStation Head Says Upcoming Horror Title Is 'One of the Hardest Games'

Retired PlayStation boss, Shuhei Yoshida, gives a major shout-out to OMUT by hailing the indie game as one of the hardest ever. The upcoming horror game is among the latest projects to have caught the interest of the former PlayStation bigwig, who is known to have a knack for independently developed titles.

In his final years at PlayStation, Yoshida fulfilled his job responsibilities as the head of the company's indie division. In doing so, the Japanese industry veteran oversaw the inception of multiple incubator programs—called Hero Projects—in China, India, and the MENA region. During this spell, Yoshida frequently gave shout-outs to indie games on social media to draw attention to them. While his official duties at PlayStation may have already ended in January, the industry icon continues to regularly compliment noteworthy indie projects. Most recently, he gave a remarkably positive opinion on OMUT, briefly summing up its unique selling point.
