Many, including myself, are waiting eagerly for the official breakdown of how the Nintendo Switch 2 has done in its first few days/first week after launching last Thursday. Officially, we’ve heard nothing from Nintendo on the matter. Instead, we’ve heard various accounts from fans and gamers who went to various stores to get the system, and either had a lot of luck…or no luck at all. However, certain sources are pointing to international numbers in key countries to showcase how well the console is doing. If these figures hold, the Switch 2 is indeed on its way to a record-breaking launch.
Let’s start with France. Yesterday, it was reported that the country had sold about 200K in its first few days of arrival. However, that’s been revised to 169k. Despite that small downturn, it’s still the biggest console launch in the country’s history:
