MindsEye developer Build a Rocket Boy has responded to the game's severe performance issues and bugs, promising another update that will aim to rectify the game's most prominent issues. MindsEye is the first title from Build a Rocket Boy, a development studio that was opened in 2018 by former Grand Theft Auto producer Leslie Benzies. While many of Benzies' fans have been eagerly anticipating the developer's next game after his departure from Rockstar Games, MindsEye seems to have been a massive disappointment.
After first being teased at Gamescom in 2022, MindsEye finally released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC yesterday, June 10. Unfortunately, the game's launch has been riddled with performance issues, bugs, glitches, and more. While there seems to be very little critique of the game's story or general gameplay, its severe performance issues have resulted in mostly negative reviews for MindsEye on Steam. Some players praised the game's driving mechanics and story, but noted that its performance issues on PC are the worst they've ever seen. Players on consoles have also been left disappointed as the game supposedly struggles to maintain a solid 30 FPS even on the PlayStation 5 Pro.
