A reputable Call of Duty insider has hinted that the classic TranZit and Mob of the Dead Zombies maps will make a return in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 later this year. These two maps made their franchise debut in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is set to take place 10 years after the events of that same game.

In 2035, David Mason leads a Black Ops team against "a manipulative enemy who weaponizes fear above all else," with conflicts and psychological warfare on the rise. Raul Menendez, the antagonist of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, was teased to make a return in some capacity, and Activision confirmed that Black Ops 7 will feature a co-op campaign, the franchise's tried-and-true multiplayer component, and round-based Zombies.
