Every new Grand Theft Auto release sends shockwaves throughout the world of gaming, and fans have been eagerly awaiting Grand Theft Auto 6 for the past several years. Rockstar finally showed the game off for the first time in late 2023, with a tentative release window suggesting that Grand Theft Auto 6 could come later this year.
However, when the second Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer was released last month, it came with the unfortunate news that the game was being delayed until May 26, 2026. This came as little surprise to those familiar with Rockstar’s other works, and Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick later explained that the developer needed more time to ensure that Grand Theft Auto 6 would live up to fans’ high expectations. Some insiders are already expecting GTA 6 to eventually be delayed a second time, and a new report could add more fuel to that speculation.
