Konami revealed a new multiplayer mode for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater called "Fox Hunt," and it's not the mode that Metal Gear Online fans were expecting. Instead, Fox Hunt is a new original online mode for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater with "completely different" gameplay, according to one of the developers from Konami.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater aims to be a faithful remake of the original 2004 stealth action game with new graphics, 3D audio, and other refinements. The remake retains the original game's voice-overs, gameplay systems, and features, including Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater's Snake vs. Monkey mode. In the Xbox Series X|S version, players are treated to the Snake vs Bomberman mode, which sees Hudson Soft's iconic character take the place of the Pipo Monkeys from Sony's Ape Escape. Moreover, the Metal Gear Online component from Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence will not be returning, as Fox Hunt will take its place in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater.
