Developer Level-5 has updated the surprise Nintendo Switch hit Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time to version 1.3.0, coinciding with the launch of the Switch 2. Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time is a sequel to Fantasy Life, a 2012 Nintendo 3DS exclusive that was only available in Japan until its international release two years later. Despite dropping on May 21 nearly 13 years later, Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time hit the ground running, quickly gaining popularity with fans of the life simulation RPG genre with its unique Lives system and gameplay variety.

Level-5 has put out a steady stream of major updates since the life sim's release, including the addition of a multiplayer mode not long after its debut.
