Star Trek Strange New Worlds Gets Greenlit For Final Season

Star Trek has always had a unique history in TV, movies, and now streaming services. After the Abrams trilogy, things kind of “stopped” for a little bit, and then Paramount+ came around, and all of a sudden, we had all sorts of series in the universe. We had Discovery, Lower Decks, Picard, and arguably the best of the lot, Star Trek Strange New Worlds. This series delved into the (mostly) untapped timeline of Captain Pike, who was the captain of the USS Enterprise before James T. Kirk took over. Many, including myself, were amazed by its expansion of the lore, while also delving into the awe and wonder that the original series brought decades ago.

Today, as noted by Variety, Star Trek Strange New Worlds was greenlit for its fifth and final season. That’s important because Season 3 is about to air and Season 4 is being filmed right now. Both the third and fourth seasons will have a full 10 episodes to tell their stories, while the fifth season will wrap up things in six episodes.
