Bells are needed for everything from buying new furniture and decor pieces to paying off your house debt to resident real estate mogul Tom Nook.

Most of the time, players earn Bells slowly but steadily by foraging and selling collectibles like bugs and marine life, but this isn't the case for the whimsically named Reddit user birdswithhands. The Redditor shared their incredible luck, where a trip to Big Fish Island coincided with CJ's presence on their island. The resulting sale netted them nearly 500,000 Bells in one fell swoop, making them instantly rich.

Once in a while, when players use Orville's airport to travel to a mystery island, they end up on Big Fish Island. This island is exactly what it sounds like: an island where all the fish are of the larger variety.
