For its upcoming fourth anniversary, Pokemon Unite will welcome the Legendary critters Latios and Latias to the list of playable characters. The draconic Latios and Latias will be available in Pokemon Unite starting July 21, though additional details about how the fan-favorite legendaries will play in the MOBA title remain elusive.
Known as the Eon Pokemon, Latios and Latias first appeared in Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire as roaming legendaries that players could pursue after becoming the Hoenn League Champion. Both Latios and Latias are Dragon and Psychic dual types, with some core differences that set them apart. Latias is the smaller red Eon Pokemon with slightly better defenses, and Latios is the larger blue counterpart with higher attack power. Though they are not the most powerful of their kind, the distinct appearances of Latios and Latias make them both stand out among the Hoenn region's roster of Legendary Pokemon.
