It's been almost 16 years since Minecraft launched, and the block-built game is still going. With the Jack Black movie performing very well at the box office and Lego finally releasing a larger Minecraft set, it doesn't look like its popularity is going to wane anytime soon. With that in mind, Mojang is set to launch Minecraft's biggest visual overhaul tomorrow.

Meme fodder is not the way to go.

The Vibrant Visuals update will rework the game's lighting system, shadows, fog, and other elements to make the game look even better. Sure, it's still going to be a blocky world, but those blocks are going to look better than ever. While Mojang has shown some stunning results and most of the community is pumped for it, it seems there are some who prefer the current look and are worried about the problems the update might bring.
