Epic Games adds and removes things from Fortnite all the time. Most of the time, those removals don't spark controversy. That's not the case today as Fortnite's v36.10 update has removed Team Rumble, one of the game's oldest modes outside of the core battle royale.

Rumors started to swirl that Team Rumble would be replaced with a new mode called Training Grounds as leakers started to spread the word on Tuesday evening. Less than 24 hours later, the update has gone live, and Team Rumble is nowhere to be seen. Training Grounds is now available to play, though, which pits two teams of eight players against each other in a single location where you can respawn once eliminated.

Epic had no interest in crossover characters until Endgame's directors begged the studio to add Thanos.

That premise is what Team Rumble was built on. While the mode has undergone tweaks over the years, in Team Rumble, two groups of players did battle with the aim of being the first to hit an elimination goal.
