MAJJAM, A Live Jam Co-op Adventure Game, Revealed for PC

French developer Opus Major, a team formed with some industry veterans from Ubisoft and other studios, has revealed their debut project, MAJJAM. The title is a multiplayer adventure being developed for PC (Steam) with the concept of adding a musical element to the world and the gameplay.

Jamming Together in a Musical World

MAJJAM is an MMO game in which players must traverse through the world using music as their weapon. The game isn't based on rhythm mechanics, but intuitive controls and, according to the developers, performances harmonize together online with no visible latency. As such, players can create together in a more spontaneous fashion.

The game revolves around the concept of a world where music is ingrained like a magic force that holds everything together. A dark force called Kodé is approaching and seems to be a major threat, corrupting the world with a fog that makes silence and death become the norm. By fighting Kodé, it'll be possible to push beyond and explore zones that were previously unavailable.

To defeat enemies, handle puzzles and restore the world, players will have to learn a technique called "jamming." It'll be possible to pick stringed, wind and percussion instruments to "cast"...
