Three new characters have been announced for Mortal Kombat 11

On the PlayStation Blog, it was announced that Mileena, Rain, and John Rambo are being added to Mortal Kombat 11's roster. The three characters will be a part of Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate, which is described as the "definitive, all-in-one Mortal Kombat 11 experience."

Rain will now wield a katar in battle. He will also be able to use his magic to open a rift to a previously unknown realm. Along with her traditional sais, Mileena will now be able to also utilize razor sharp claws. Rambo will be ripped straight out of the first movie to star the character, First Blood. He will be voiced by the character's actor, Sylvester Stallone.

Along with the new characters, Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate will feature all of the content released for the game so far. This includes every mode, characters, and features from the main game, the first Kombat Pack, and the Aftermath Expansion. Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate will release on November 17th. For new players to the game, pre-orders for Ultimate will begin on October 15th, and will provide immediate access to the base game, Kombat Pack 1, and the Aftermath Expansion. For those who already own the game, pre-orders for Kombat Pack 2 will begin on October 15th. Those who pre-order Ultimate and the Kombat Pack 2 will receive the Time Warriors Skin Pack at launch, which will include skins for Noob Saibot, Liu Kang, and Skarlet.

It has also been announced that Mortal Kombat 11 will be coming to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S. Those who own the game on current-gen consoles will be able to upgrade to the next-gen consoles for free. The next-gen version of the game will feature 4K dynamic resolution, enhanced visuals, improved loading times, as well as cross-platform and cross-generation play.

Mortal Kombat 11 is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Google Stadia. The game will be making its way over to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S.
