Nintendo was already facing backlash over Mario Kart World's $80 price point, but things only got worse after launch. While the game looks good and is fun to play thanks to all the new features, last month's controversial update saw a flurry of bad reviews coming in because it changed the traditional three-lap formula.

It's still unclear if Nintendo will be changing things back to the way they were, as most players aren't fans of this new format. However, it seems that the game has a hidden feature which many players still don't know about. Not only can you warp to ongoing races in the game, but you can also view their ghosts racing in real-time.

Ghost racers aren't a new thing in games. Plenty of racing games feature these translucent avatars to show previous record holders or other players in the game's shared world. However, this has never been done in any Mario Kart game before, and the game doesn't even inform you that you can fast travel to tracks where races are ongoing.
