Mario Kart World fans have produced evidence that the Charge Jump has a pretty noticeable disadvantage to players who perform the move. The Charge Jump is similar to the drift boost, but it allows the player to keep moving forward, giving the impression of faster speeds. Although the intention behind this move is clearly to give Mario Kart World racers more options for speeding up, it looks like the actual effect could cause more harm than good.

Ever since this title was released alongside the Nintendo Switch 2, gamers have been trying to develop new strategies to win Mario Kart World matches. The latest title in the Mario Kart franchise includes 24-player races and a semi-open world environment, elements which change the way players approach each race. While these are interesting new gameplay features, the actual in-game experience of racing is often impacted far more by special moves like the Charge Jump and strategies such as sandbagging.
