Genshin Impact's next update will add a wealth of content.
The next Genshin Impact update, version 1.1, will release on November 11th (via IGN). The update will be called "A New Star Approaches." One of the main additions to the game will be four new characters. The first is Childe, a 5-star hydro archer that can switch between melee and ranged attacks. The second character is Zhongli, who is a 5-star geo polearm wielder. Zhongli will have high defense, strong AoE attacks, and the ability to petrify enemies. The last two characters, Xinyan and Diona, are 4-star characters whose details have not been released yet.
The next Genshin Impact update will add new quests, including the grand finale to the Liyue chapter. There will also be more character-specific quests being added to the game as well. There will also be a two-week event called Unreconciled Stars. The event will add a series of quests, co-op challenges, and will grant rewards including the character Fischl. There will also be new items, including a portable waypoint, a portable stove, treasure compass, and a Wind Catcher item that stores anemograna to create wind currents that should help players explore more.
Genshin Impact's upcoming update will also include a Reputation system. This system gives players a rating in the game's cities. This rating is built by completing activities in the surrounding area. Building one's Reputation will offer region-exclusive rewards which include customization options.
Version 1.1 of Genshin Impact is just one of a number of updates coming to the game. Version 1.2 will release on December 23rd, while version 1.3 will drop in February 2021. The developers of the game did state that they will do their best to make sure that an update is released at least once every six weeks.
Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and mobile devices. The game will be playable on the PlayStation 5 through backwards compatibility.
