Splitgate 2 Devs Are Un-Releasing The Game To Try And Save It

While Splitgate 2 officially launched just last month, it seems developer 1047 Games isn't happy with the game's state or the reception to the game, as the studio has announced plans to "un-release" the free-to-play shooter.

This recent development follows the controversial Summer Game Fest rant of the studio's chief, which was heavily criticized by gamers.

Now, the studio explains why they are pulling the game back to a beta state once more.

Splitgate 2 Is Going Back To Beta Amid Player Feedback

The studio made the announcement over on X (formerly on Twitter) with a super-lengthy post on why the game reverting to beta is a good thing.

The studio's bosses stated, "We’ve heard your feedback, and we agree with you: we launched too early. We had ambitious goals with Splitgate 2, and in our excitement to share it with you, we bit off more than we could chew. We rushed certain features, made some boneheaded mistakes, and most importantly – we didn't give you the polished, portal-filled mayhem you fell in love with."
