EA has revealed patch notes for the EA Sports College Football 26 July 24 title update, which will bring an extensive number of bug fixes and adjustments to the game. The new EA Sports College Football 26 update also makes some changes based on the July 17 update, which allows gamers to change a player's position within their current position group without penalty to their skill caps.

The College Football series returned after more than a decade with the release of last year's EA Sports College Football 25. Some fans were skeptical about the series becoming yearly again, but EA put an end to fears about a possible hiatus when the company announced EA Sports College Football 26 back in January. EA Sports College Football 26 was released on July 10 to positive critical reception, with the game now sitting at an 85 Metascore on Metacritic at the time of this writing.
