A new Demogorgon variation will be introduced in the upcoming Stranger Things Dungeons & Dragons game. The game, called Welcome to the Hellfire Club, is releasing on October 7 and is currently available for pre-order. The game is being marketed as a closure to the D&D campaign that fan-favorite season 4 character Eddie started. However, it's also introducing some new elements into the Stranger Things universe.
In an exclusive interview with ScreenRant, Justice Arman, game designer at Wizards of the Coast (owner of D&D), was asked about how closely he and the other game developers were working with the Stranger Things show team and how deeply the new game would explore the lore, especially regarding the variations of the iconic Demogorgon creature.
Arman's response indicated a deeper dive into the Upside Down, stating that they "worked with the Duffer brothers, who are avid D&D players as well, to develop aspects of this set, including introducing one new monster of our own creation to the demo-family for this." Arman also confirmed that previous versions of the Demogorgon will appear in the new game.
