While we still don't have a concrete release date for the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, we do know it'll be coming out sometime this fall, and when it does release, it'll bring with it some rather silly skins on Day 1, much to the disappointment of fans hoping for a serious militaristic first-person shooter.

That said, according to new reporting from Insider Gaming's Tom Henderson, Black Ops 7 will also bring a major change to the franchise's campaign, one that has never been done before.

In his report, Henderson states that the final mission of the Black Ops 7 campaign will integrate with the game's multiplayer, specifically the long-rumored Avalon map that can play host to over 30 players.

The map, which was initially marked for battle royale purposes, will instead serve as the 12th and final mission of the campaign, according to Henderson's sources. Henderson noted that the concept sounded like an extraction shooter due to it being labeled as "hardcore," with the potential to lose progress if you fail.
