Marvel Rivals has a lot of issues, but one thing that it's pretty much nailed since release is the quality of its skins. Every character in the game has at least one really cool skin that they can show off during matches, whether they make the character look a lot cooler with a more comic book aesthetic, or put their cheeks on full display. Looking at you, Ben Grimm.
However, there is one certain aspect of Marvel Rivals' skin game that is starting to frustrate fans, and that's the lack of custom VFX when it comes to the title's pricier cosmetics. This problem was brought up once again by a Reddit user called Ok-Breakfast191744, thanks to the newly released Polarity Bond skin for Cloak and Dagger, which has Dagger wearing a bodysuit made of fire, complete with Phoenix-esque wings.
It's a pretty cool skin, and one that I'll undoubtedly be grabbing myself, but a lot of fans are frustrated that Dagger will still attack enemies with her customary blue primary fire. Other abilities, like her healing window, are also bright blue, and it's a very noticeable and distracting contrast to the skin's fire theme.
