By all accounts, the ongoing Battlefield 6 open beta has been nothing but a success, with many gamers, save for a few stragglers who are against pre-ordering, excited to return to the first-person shooter franchise.
That said, if there is room for a complaint — and there almost always is — it's that the open beta has way too many small maps. Normally, that'd be a good thing, but Battlefield, as a franchise, has historically had sprawling areas with multiple POIs and engagement areas.
So far, Battlefield Studios, the collective team of EA developers working on the game, have promised that come launch on October 10, there will be large maps. However, via some clever dataminers, we now have definitive proof of that, plus some intel on where those maps will take place.
As first spotted by MP1st, a datamining group discovered two maps, one of which was already confirmed to be in the game, but did not have any official renders or details.
According to the leaks, Mirak Valley is the biggest map at launch. It's located in Tajikistan, and will feature mountains on both sides, with a river converging in the middle.
