With the Battlefield 6 beta officially being over, you'll have to wait for it to launch in October to get back to it. While you can check out some new content in Battlefield 2042 to scratch the itch, it's just not the same. While the beta brought Battlefield back to the level it should be at, some veteran players are still not happy with the new entry.
Among the complaints are that the weapon unlock system is based on career rank rather than weapon class rank, the game leaning too strongly towards open weapon classes, and some even feel that Battlefield 6 catered towards Call of Duty fans, rather than long-time fans of the series.
The last point about Battlefield 6 trying to bring in the COD crowd, rather than catering to veteran players, has been floating around after the open beta. The new movement system, along with the size of the maps in the beta have convinced some players that Dice is trying to be Call of Duty.
When asked about it on Twitter (via GamesRadar), lead producer David Sirland replied saying that the devs have been looking at previously successful titles in the Battlefield series for inspiration....
