Activision just gave us our best look yet at Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 at Gamescom Opening Night Live ahead of its launch later this year.
Xbox recently walked back plans to sell The Outer Worlds 2 and other holiday releases for $80, as did EA and Gearbox.
Set ten years after Black Ops 2 (and, confusingly, 30 years before Black Ops 3), Black Ops 7 promises to plunge us into a "world on the brink of chaos, ravaged by violent conflict and psychological warfare".
We see players don wingsuits to glide into action on the sprawling streets of Avalon, the centrepiece of the campaign, boost jump into the air mid-fight, and pull themselves forward with grappling hooks, all while fighting back against robots and mecha dogs.
The store page goes into further detail about what to expect from the campaign, which can either be played solo or in co-op. "David Mason leads an elite JSOC team on a covert mission to the sprawling Mediterranean city of Avalon," the description reads. "While there, they discover a sophisticated plot that won't just plunge the world into chaos, it will pull them into their own haunting pasts."
