Resident Evil Requiem offers two distinct ways to experience the game, and there’s a special mode that lets the developer pick which camera perspective the player uses throughout the story.
Resident Evil 7 was the first fully first-person mainline entry in the series, which represented a return to the franchise’s survival horror roots, after a gradual shift towards action. Resident Evil Village did the same thing, but Capcom eventually added a third-person option, as fans wanted the classic camera back.
Resident Evil Requiem will have the ability to choose between first and third-person viewpoints from the start. It has now been revealed by RinoTheBouncer on Twitter/X that there is a mode where the game will shift between the two, as determined by the developers.
