Stardew Valley isn't really a game that revels in the popularity of crossovers these days, only having been tempted by Terraria and Balatro. It's a rather prestigious club, and one that cozy dress-up game Infinity Nikki managed to find its way into earlier this week.
Infinity Nikki developers Infold Games revealed in a post on Twitter a couple of days ago that it would be teaming up with Stardew Valley for a special crossover on September 1, though the details have been pretty scarce. It was a pretty surprising announcement, and one that certain sections of the Stardew Valley community didn't appreciate all that much.
Thanks to Infinity Nikki being a gacha game, some Stardew Valley fans thought it would be smart to swing at one of the gaming industry's most beloved figures - the game's creator, Eric "ConcernedApe" Barone.
