Vampire Survivors developer and publisher Poncle has announced Kill the Brickman, a brand new brick-breaking roguelike developed by a first-time US studio by the delightful name of Doonutsaur.
As revealed during Xbox's Gamescom showcase, Kill the Brickman is available...well, now. You can grab it on Steam and Xbox, and in true Vampire Survivors fashion, it'll set you back just $4.99.
The two studios describe Kill the Brickman as a "brick-breaking, turn-based roguelike bullet-builder from outer space", which is a whole lot of hyphens. You'll combine "relics, clip layouts, and bizarre bullets that explode, corrode, and multiply".
In the same vein as games like the recently-revealed Raccoin, Kill the Brickman is looking to bring the roguelike magic to an existing game genre, in this case Breakout-style brick-breaking arcade titles.
While you "shoot, smash, repeat", Poncle and Doonutsaur say you'll also be collecting, combining, and deploying "absurdly overpowered bullets" in an attempt to "(try to) outsmart" the brickmen of the title.
The two studios are promising "over a dozen elite enemies" and ten boss battles in Kill the Brickman, and in order to do battle with these bosses, you'll have access to "synergies that turn...
