The recent, long-awaited reveal of Hollow Knight: Silksong's release date has caused at least two indie games to delay themselves to avoid launching around the same time.
Well, Hollow Knight fans, you finally did it. After years and years of waiting, silkposting, and dreading that Team Cherry might have just binned the whole thing off, Silksong finally has a set release date of September 4. We're now less than two weeks away from jumping into Hornet's massive adventure, and the vibes have never been better.
We've all known that Silksong would be making massive waves as soon as that release date was finally locked down, but it appears that it's even bigger than we expected. Just like what happened when GTA 6 confirmed its delay out of 2025, it seems that some developers are choosing not to even bother fighting Silksong and just move their release date altogether.
