Following an orchestrated "Admin War" between two of the most popular games in the platform's history, Roblox managed to hit a record-breaking 47.4 million concurrent players, making it the most-used gaming platform of all time. Roblox has seen a number of breakout titles in recent years, and in spite of controversy surrounding user safety, the game creation platform has cemented an impressive legacy for itself with this new achievement.
Roblox originally made its debut in 2006 and has since grown to feature hundreds of user-produced games, ranging from popular titles like Dress to Impress to Murder Mystery 2 and Volleyball Legends, among many others. In 2025, the Roblox game Grow a Garden skyrocketed in popularity, taking the platform by storm, and now a recent competitor to that hit title and subsequent "beef" between the games' creators has drawn in record-breaking player counts for Roblox.
According to a LinkedIn post by Roblox Strategy Consultant James Purell, data from an internal group known as Offpath shows a massive total of 47.4 million concurrent users on Roblox in Q3 2025, which marks the highest concurrent player count of all time on any gaming platform.
