It's a day ending in the letter "Y," which means ex-Dragon Age executive producer Mark Darrah is back on social media dishing out all the juicy details about the franchise many gamers hold near and dear to their hearts.
This time, it's all about Project Joplin, a canceled project that was the initial framework of Dragon Age 4.
As first spotted by PC Gamer, in a one-plus minute short posted to his YouTube channel, Darrah said that in a world where Project Joplin does come out, it would've done so in February 2019.
"It takes Anthem's spot," Darrah said. "In that world, that is a game developed on a pretty tight timeline. Not from the ship of Inquisition — I suppose it's more than four years, almost five. But still, (a) pretty tight timeline."
Perhaps most interesting about Darrah's own words is whether he means that Joplin would've come out instead of Anthem, which did end up releasing in February 2019, or whether Anthem simply gets delayed to be worked on further while BioWare fans get to enjoy a new Dragon Age experience.
