For around a year now, players have been able to craft their own custom ships in No Man's Sky. The Orbital update, released last July, allowed players to scrap certain ships, recycling the parts to create their perfect space vehicle. It's a fairly rudimentary ship builder, but it was more than enough to satisfy the game's fan base. Things are about to get a whole lot more exciting, though.
Just announced by the team at Hello Games, No Man's Sky has received a new update, titled Voyagers, which adds much greater detail to ship building in the game.
While No Man's Sky's Orbital update focused on the exterior of a ship, the new Voyagers update allows you to craft a fully working spaceship, inside and out. Alongside the usual hulls, wings, engines, and thrusters, players will now be able to add med-bays, sleeping quarters, war rooms, and teleporters, each of which can be decorated.
