Few video game franchises wear their age on their sleeve quite like Gears of War does. The third-person shooter is very much a byproduct of 2006, complete with many "Bro-isms," and even shoes that would make any skater in the park extremely jealous.
That feel also extends to its cover-based gameplay and the iconic "Roadie Run" that has followed the series at every stop since its initial release. For those on PlayStation who might be jumping in for the very first time with the recently released Gears of War: Reloaded, the "Roadie Run" is a Gears staple.
Essentially, anytime you click the sprint button, the character you control gets into a crouch and begins running. As they run, the camera shakes, bobs and moves about to simulate motion. It's a neat trick from circa 2006 and the sequels that followed, but for those with motion sickness, or just wanting to play a game without any added hoopla, it can be annoying.
Mercifully, you can disable the "Roadie Run" shake in Reloaded, bringing the experience more in line with titles that offer enhanced accessibility.
As first spotted on Steam's forums, there is an in-game option that will stop...
