Path of Exile 2 just received a big shake-up in Version 0.3.0 - the acrobatics keystone has now been removed, and evasion has been tweaked.
According to today's patch notes, "Player Evasion now works on all hits except boss skills that have a red flash." This is essentially what the Acrobatics Keystone previously did.
Before its removal, Acrobatics allowed the player the potential to evade all hits, at the cost of losing 75 per cent of their evasion rate. Acrobatics differed from the evasion stat because it included every attack in the game except damage-over-time spells.
Previously, evasion did not include area-of-effect (AoE) attacks. So, even if you were a highly evasive character, your life could still be snuffed out by a high-powered area-of-effect attack if you failed to manually dodge it. This is where Acrobatics was useful, as it gave you a chance to evade damage even if you were caught in the splash zone of an AoE.
It now appears that evasion can dodge area-of-effect attacks even without Acrobatics, with the only undodgeable attack being red-flash boss skills. Naturally, this makes Acrobatics obsolete, hence its removal.
