Hollow Knight: Silksong is almost here, and those who backed the project years ago have been asked what their preferred platforms are, ready for the sequel's arrival. The Kickstarter for the project was set up so long ago that one of the stretch goals it hit originally meant the game was going to be released on Wii U. If you were still hopeful that was going to be the case, I have some bad news.
Silksong's Kickstarter page has resurfaced due to it getting its first update in years. Team Cherry used the page to let backers know that despite Silksong's long development time, it will be keeping the promises it made to them. Well, most of them. If you pledged a certain amount, then you can now choose between a PC or Nintendo Switch version of the game.
Honoring the Kickstarter is also the reason Team Cherry has given for not handing out review codes of its Hollow Knight sequel.
The renewed attention thanks to the Kickstarter update has reminded Hollow Knight fans that there was a time when the game was going to launch on Wii U. There were also plans to launch a PS Vita version, although...
