Helldivers 2 Couch Co-Op Is Still In The Cards, Says CEO

Helldivers 2 might be the best co-op game on the market right now, but there is a way to make it even better: local (couch) co-op.

Implementing something like this would mean players can help -- and trash-talk -- each other face to face, which is infinitely more fun than doing so via voice chat.

It seems Arrowhead Game Studios isn't saying no to the idea, which means it could be a part of the game at some point in the future.

Helldivers 2 Local Co-Op Is Something Arrowhead Is "Investigating"

While the feature isn't confirmed to be in the works yet, Arrowhead Game Studios' CEO, Shams Jorjani, confirmed that it is technically feasible, but also questioned whether this is something players actually want.

This was posted on the Helldivers' Discord, when Jorjani answered a fan (via Game Rant):

As you can see from Jorjani's statement, they aren't even sure if this is a feature people want, so if it is something you want to see in the game, maybe it's best if you let Arrowhead know via the studio's Discord or even X (formerly Twitter) account.
