Black Myth: Wukong's Performance On Xbox Systems Is Disappointing, Digital Foundry Concludes

It's been a long time coming for Xbox owners when it comes to Black Myth: Wukong.

Launching last year as a PlayStation 5 and PC exclusive, the acclaimed Soulslike finally made its way onto the Xbox Series X|S on August 20th of this year.

One of the reasons for the delay, according to Game Science producer and CEO Feng Ji, is the Xbox Series S. While Microsoft denied that troubles developing for the Series S caused the delay, the studio has complained about the limitations that come with the, admittedly, underpowered console.

When compared to the Xbox Series X, the S is lacking in horsepower. It only has 10 GB of RAM, a 3.8 GHz 8-core AMD CPU, and either 512 GB or 1 TB of SSD storage. This isn't the first time there have been issues with the Xbox Series S. Scott Junior, Chief Product Officer at Funcom (Dune: Awakening), also expressed his frustrations when developing for the Series S.

As it turns out, though. Black Myth: Wukong's issues on Xbox aren't limited there.
