It's no secret that the highly-anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6 will likely end up being one expensive game, both in terms of development costs and potentially even the upfront cost charged to consumers. Of course, it'll likely justify its hefty costs, with one analyst asserting that the game could make over $10 billion, with another asserting that $7 billion of that could come within 60 days.
Sheesh.
Massive doesn't even begin to describe things when it comes to GTA 6, as one industry veteran has dubbed it an "AAAAA" title. That's five (!) A's for those who lost count.
In a new interview with IGN, largely centered around Hollow Knight: Silksong and it's very GTA-like moment, Adam Lieb, the CEO of marketing platform Gamesight, and Nigel Lowrie, co-founder of Devolver Digital, both spoke about how massive Rockstar's next title is.
"I mean, there are AAA games and then there's AAAA games, and I'd argue that Grand Theft Auto is potentially the AAAAA game, it's just bigger than anything else both in the scope and scale of the game and the kind of cultural impact that it has and the attention it demands," Lowrie said.
It's level of impact...
