Cris Tales Will Launch in July

Cris Tales, the time-traveling RPG that pits players in multiple timelines at once, will launch in July, the team has revealed. There have been playable demos of the game available on Xbox and Steam at different times, which has helped drum up hype for the game, so fans are likely circling their calendars for the full launch.

However, you'll need to circle the entire month of July for now, as the team is not yet ready to share an exact date within the newly revealed launch month. Cris Tales is described as a "love letter to classic JRPGs" and one look at the game reveals its faithfulness to that era, though the time-traveling gameplay is something that's never been done quite like it before.

Players traverse the past, present, and future simultaneously. In this setup, players can alter one timeline while existing in another, even going so far as to hit enemies with surprise attacks from another timeline.

Cris Tales was first unveiled at E3 2019 and won Best Indie Game at the show, as well as at Gamescom a year later, signaling the game's surrounding fervor for some time now. If you're unfamiliar with it, this new overview trailer will get you caught up on how the paradoxical story will unfold for player in July.

Cris Tales will launch on virtually every platform there is, including Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG and Stadia for $39.99. A demo of the game is still available on the Xbox Store, PlayStation Store, Nintendo eShop, Steam, or GOG.
