When Gears of War first launched in 2006 for the Xbox 360, there was one weapon that dominated the matches: the Lancer.
Well, it dominated at first because everyone wanted to use that chainsaw to cut down on unsuspecting enemies. Even playing through Gears of War: Reloaded, it's still as much fun today as it was nearly 20 years ago.
Let's be serious for a second, though. The real dominant weapon back then, as it is today, is the Gnasher shotgun. Those who have flashbacks to the "host advantage" know exactly what I'm talking about.

There's no need to aim down the sights, no need to be up close and personal with your opponent either; just get really, really good at blind firing, even at mid-range, and you're golden.
