Players who pre-ordered the Premium Edition of Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 on PlayStation 5 will get a refund by September 8, developers have confirmed. After a long, bumpy road up to its imminent release, the hotly anticipated sequel has caused a bit of a stir in ways Paradox Interactive and The Chinese Room likely would've rather avoided. In response, the companies are offering some Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 players a refund before the title is even out.

After multiple delays and concerns over studio layoffs, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 finally got a firm release date in August 2025, with developers reassuring fans that the game would arrive on October 21 the same year. Pre-orders went live across PC, Xbox, and PlayStation that same day, giving fans a choice between three different editions. Not everyone was happy about the discrepancy between those versions, or more specifically, what the Standard Edition did not include, but now there may be some relief on the horizon.
