The Resident Evil world has been, let's say... abuzz, for Lady Dimitrescu, the absurdly tall villain from Resident Evil Village, and the team at Capcom has heard their calls and has answered them with some fun facts on the domineering baddie.
Over on the franchise's official Twitter page, Village's art director Tomonori Tanako dropped by to reveal just how tall the beloved "tall vampire lady" really is.
"Lady Dimitrescu and her daughters have received a fair amount of attention, far more than we anticipated” Tanako said. “It’s great that they’re able to take the spotlight as icons of Resident Evil Village. Lady Dimitrescu, especially, has received much fanfare both domestically and overseas, which has made all of us in the development team extremely happy. I hear her height is something of interest….”
“If you include her hat and high heels, Lady Dimitrescu is] 2.9 meters (approximately 9’6”) tall. These bewitching, vampiric characters are relentless in their pursuit of Ethan and I can't wait for you to meet them yourselves when you enter Castle Dimitrescu in May." Resident Evil Village was recently given a public launch date of May 7 - 94 days from now for the especially eager. The game will also feature a multiplayer mode called Re:Verse which pits players against other humans in a third-person shooter where characters span the series and levels take place in maps from the recent games, such as the Raccoon City police station seen in Resident Evil 2 and 3.
In other Resident Evil news, it was reported that the Resident Evil 4 remake has undergone a change in development team, though Capcom is yet to announce whether such a project even exists.
